Yet There is Hope

Looking at the mirror
I face the emptiness
The image once admired
Now derided and in shame

Looking out to the sky
I see but dark rain clouds
The sight once beloved
Now a screen from all my dreams

Looking around my world
I see but toil and hate
Their dreams once shined bright
Now but a shadow of their past

But yet there is hope
For in your eyes I see
Hope for a million years
Lights for a trillion dreams
