Stay The Course – A Poem for 2010

The skies are blue
The year is new
The sun is bright
And hope shines new

The past it tries
To foil the fun
Follies of youth
Mistakes of haste

Try as they might
They won’t break us
I pray for strength
To stay our course

Fear not the past
It is but gone
The future is here
Lets make it ours
