About Abhishek Cherian George

Abhishek Cherian George is an internet marketing evangelist who believes the web will will only become a life platform once it plays its part in solving problems that humanity faces. He believes that empowering individuals and businesses with tools that are available to leverage and propagate their needs will help the world become a better place.

At first the web was a novelty to George. It was only in 2002 that he started realizing how great a tool the web can be.  After losing a lot of money doing experiments on the web, he was able to gain enough knowledge to start offering his services and since has helped individuals, non-profits and small businesses to use the internet effectively.

George consults, trains and speaks about internet marketing, blogging and new media. At present George works  for Marriott Vacation Club international heading up a pilot e-commerce program.

George helps out with the indie record label ‘1 or8 Faction’ and is currently setting up Tunesoul & Human Folio, two projects close to his heart.

And Then Some

George was born in Kerala,  India in 1985. He now lives and works in Singapore. He has not found another person with the same name as his due to the fact  that it takes names from three different cultures (Abhishek [North Indian], Cherian [South Indian, 'Malyalee' ], George [Britan]). If there is anybody with the same name, do get in touch with him so that he does not feel lonely in name-sphere anymore.

Being an idealist battered into a realist, George still aims to change the world a teeny lil’ bit and apparently is pretty serious about it. George is an avid fan of KIVA and is crazy about micro-lending. His aim is to foster USD 1 Trillion in microlending through the Human Folio foundation.

You can get in touch with George on Facebook, (don’t know if you have heard about Facebook, apparently the in-thing these days).

This page has been written in third person for better SEO, hope you forgive George if that annoys you.
